BH Cosmetics: 3 New Palettes!

I just bought a couple of new palettes from BH Cosmetics and I am pretty pleased with them!

BH Cosmetics is a very affordable makeup brand so I wasn't sure how good the quality of these would be. But they are pretty good! While they are not as good as say, Urban Decay or M.A.C., but for the price you pay they are great.

The shadows and blush have good pigmentation and most of them have a good blendable texture. A few of the shadows are a little chalky but you can still work with them. These palettes would work great for travel because they have pretty much everything you need in one place. They would also be great for a teen just starting their makeup collection!

Forever Nude Palette: $11.95
The palette includes 6 neutral eyeshadows, 2 cheek colors, 1 highlight and 2 lip colors.

Forever Glam Palette: $11.95
Palette includes 6 smokey eyeshadows, 2 cheek colors, 1 highlight and 2 lip colors.

Duo Blush Palette: $21.95
Palette includes 6 blush colors in pinks and corals.

I will be posting some looks with these palettes soon!

Have a great day!

Maybelline Color Sensational The Buffs Review and Swatches

Hey guys! Do you love nude lips? I sure do! So, when I heard that Maybelline was adding a whole slew of nude lipsticks to their Color Sensational line I couldn't wait to get some. Of course, it took me forever to find them because I live in the middle of Nowhere, but finally here they are and I thought I would share my thoughts on them along with some photos!

Enjoy!

Pretty packaging!

Bare All

Blushing Beige

Nude Lust

Truffle Tease

Sinamon

Top to bottom: Bare All, Blushing Beige, Nude Lust, Truffle Tease and Sinamon

Overall, I really love these lipsticks! They have the same great color pay off and smooth creamy texture as the rest of the Color Sensational line. Bare All is really light and may not work great for some skin tones, but I think it looks pretty with a pink gloss on top. The rest of these shades look great by themselves or topped with gloss and have enough warmth in them so they don't give you the dreaded dead-lip look.  I highly recommend picking these up if you want to try the nude lip trend!

I hope this post was helpful!

Beautiful Drugstore Eyeshadows : Photos & Swatches

Hi Everyone! I have collected a few new drugstore eyeshadows lately and they are really outstanding not only in color but also in quality so of course I had to show them to you! What's even cooler is that none of these shadows are over $8! I hope you enjoy the pictures and give these a try.

NYX Single Eyeshadow $4.50
Silk - Peachy-gold shimmer
Flamingo - Rose Gold shimmer
Dark Navy - Very dark navy pearl

Left to right: Dark Navy, Silk, Flamingo
Top to bottom: Flamingo, Silk, Dark Navy

These shadows are very soft in texture and are super pigmented! All of NYX Single eyeshadows (all the ones I've tried anyway) are always great! Flamingo is my favorite out of these three. It is a beautiful rose gold that will look great on any skin tone.

IMAN Cosmetics Luxury Eyeshadow $8.00
Pewter - Grey-gold shimmer
African Violet - Very dark almost black blue-purple

Left to right: African Violet, Pewter

Top to bottom: Pewter, African Violet

OK, can we just stop for a second and be in awe of these eyeshadows? They are so pigmented and smooth that if I didn't know better, I would think they were a very high-end brand. I plan to get more! The one in Pewter is maybe my favorite eyeshadow that I have ever tried. Ever. That is saying a lot if you know how much makeup I have! It is so beautiful and works really great for a one-shadow look. If you do decide to try these you have to get it!

e.l.f. Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow $3.00
Toast - very shimmer gold with glitter (whipped gel texture)

The coolest thing about this shadow is the texture. It's just fun to touch. It looks good on the eyes too! I wore this the other day by itself and it lasted all day. I think it would also be great as an eyeshadow base.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio $1.99
Walking On Eggshells - Beige shimmer, Warm copper bronze, Pink-gold shimmer

If you've never tried Wet n Wild eyeshadows you are so missing out. These Trios come in several different shade combos and the quality is great on every single one. And they are $1.99!! You can't go wrong! Walking on Eggshells is a beautiful neutral trio, but they have some wild color combos as well for the more adventurous. You can find Wet n Wild Cosmetics at Walmart or your local drugstore.

Have fun playing with eyeshadow! Talk to you soon!

New Series: Drugstore Dupes for High End Beauty Brands: M.A.C and Benefit Cosmetics

Hello all! I am starting a new series with this post which will be called Drugstore Dupes for High End Beauty Brands. Basically, anytime I come across a product from a drugstore brand that is exactly like (or almost exactly) another product from a high end brand I will let you all know asap! Fun right?

For the first post I've got two dupes one highlight powder, one bronzer (perfect for summer!)

Dupe #1

High end:  M.A.C. Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade $30.00
Soft candlelit beige with multidimensional shimmer

Drugstore:  e.l.f. Cosmetics Studio Baked Blush in Pinktastic $3.00
Light pink-gold shimmer

 Side by side:

Left: Lightscapade, Right: Pinktastic

In the pan the e.l.f. blush looks a little more peachy-pink than lightscapade but swatched on the skin they look almost identical.

Left: M.A.C. Lightscapade, Right: e.l.f. Baked Blush Pinktastic

Both give beautiful sheer wash of beige-gold shimmer.

Dupe #2

High end:  Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer $28.00

Left: Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Right: e.l.f. Baked Bronzer St. Lucia

A very pretty and universally flattering matte bronzer

Drugstore: e.l.f. Baked Bronzer in St. Lucia $3.00

Left: Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Right: e.l.f. Baked Bronzer St. Lucia

As you can see the color in the pan is pretty much identical. The only difference I can really find is St. Lucia by e.l.f. has just the tiniest bit of shimmer to it and Hoola is completely matte.

Left: Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Right: e.l.f. Baked Bronzer St. Lucia
Again both are very pretty bronzers and almost identical except for the slight sheen that St. Lucia has. So if you're looking to try a bronzer and a highlighter but don't want to spend a lot check out these e.l.f. options. They are very affordable and the quality is amazing.

You can find e.l.f. Cosmetics online at http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/face/blush/baked_blush or at your nearest Target.

And if you want to check out the high end brands, you can find Benefit Cosmetics at http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/ or http://www.sephora.com/benefit-cosmetics or at your local Sephora and M.A.C. at http://www.maccosmetics.com/

Have a great day!
