Julep Maven Nail Polish Subscription for October!

Hey guys! I just got my Julep Maven Box in the mail and thought I'd share it with you. If you are unfamiliar with Julep Maven, it is a monthly nail polish subscription service and they are now adding some beauty products that the brand is starting to add to their line. All of their products are very high quality, especially the nail polishes. I have been subscribed for about 9 months and I have never received a bad polish. Their formulas are amazing and the colors are very unique!

The subscription is $19.99/month and you get 2 nail polishes and another product (usually a beauty product). For more info check out my video below!

This months polishes:

Cleopatra:

Beautiful Satin Black Finish - 2 coats (this is without a topcoat)

Valerie:

Deep Teal with Gold Shimmer - 2 coats (without topcoat)

Casper:

Casper over Cleopatra - 1 coat

All of the nail polishes are beautiful! I love the black and the teal. Sadly the Casper didn't glow very well. I could barely see it and it would not glow bright enough for the camera to pick it up. But it will still be a really pretty topcoat or just a natural shimmer on its own!

Beauty Product:

Julep Kajal Eye Glider (double ended eyeliner brown/black)
also included in the box is a cool  little sharpener!

 

This eyeliner is soft and creamy and very pigmented. I do recommend setting it with an eyeshadow to prevent smudging and increase wear time. So far I really like it!

The Colors of the Rainbow Tag!

R O Y G B I V ... Pink ... Multicolor

This tag looked like so much fun that I had to do it!

Here we go...

RED: MAC Lady Danger Lipstick 

 

This is one of my all time favorite bright lipsticks. It always makes me feel good when I wear it! 

ORANGE: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Tipsy

These blushes are so pretty! So far I only have this color, but I love it! It's a great bright peachy-coral and stays on all day. I am definitely going to get some more of these!

YELLOW: Forever 21 Love & Beauty Neon Yellow Nail Polish

 
Okay, yellow is really not my color. In fact, it is my least favorite of all the colors. It makes me look sick when I wear it. However, I do love neon yellow (of course) and have recently been loving that it is so trendy right now. This polish from Forever 21 is a true highlighter neon yellow and the formula is great! Quite a deal for only 2.80!

GREEN: Green Smoothies! 

 
I drink one every day. Sometimes I drink two a day.  I have tried about a million (okay, not really a million) recipes for green smoothies and I pretty much love them all! My sons (and husband) recently gave me a Vitamix Blender for Mother's Day and it has made smoothie making even better! If you'd like to see some of my smoothie recipes let me know.

BLUE: Lush Cosmetics Ocean Salt Scrub

This stuff is a must in the summer. I use it year-round. It is a beautiful and delicious smelling salt scrub for your face or body. It smells like you're sitting on the beach breathing the salt air while drinking a Vodka & Soda with lime. Well, that's what it makes me think of anyway. It has sea salt, lime, avocado, vodka (for antibacterial qualities) and coconut cream all whipped up in a cute little black pot. It makes your skin feel soft and clean and you need it! 

 INDIGO: It's A 10 Miracle Leave-in Spray

I posted about this in my March Favorites so I won't go on and on about it. It's good stuff. Period.

VIOLET: Urban Decay Primer Potion

This is my favorite eyeshadow primer. Without it my eyeshadow doesn't last 5 minutes. I guess I have oily eyelids (eww!). Anyway, if you are looking for a good primer to make your eyeshadow last all day, definitely give this one a try. 

PINK: China Glaze Nail Polish in Flip Flop Fantasy

This is my favorite new summer nail polish. Now don't get me wrong, I still love all my blues and glitters but sometimes a girl just needs pink on her fingers and toes. Am I right?

MULTICOLOR: Sleek Acid Palette

The name of this eyeshadow palette is a little bit scary. But if you know me, you know I gravitate toward scary things and they don't bother me a bit. But actually it's not really scary at all it is just a really cool neon eyeshadow palette. This little guy is hard to get. Sleek is a UK based company and they do not sell the Acid palette in the U.S. because the FDA has not approved it due to some of the minerals used in the eyeshadows. So, I ordered mine from ebay. I'm crazy like that.

Julep Jazz Collection: Gabrielle and Paris

I received these polishes in my May Julep Maven Subscription box. They are part of Julep's new Jazz collection, which is overall a very pretty collection.

Gabrielle is a creamy grey-ish purple. It is very opaque and in the photo I am only wearing one coat!

Paris is a gorgeous holographic glitter topcoat. It went very nice with this purple color and really would go great with most colors.

The formula on both polishes is very nice as usual. So far I've never been disappointed with Julep's polish. I really enjoy my Maven subscription and can't wait till next month's!
